In the year 1994, my partner Nicoline fell in love with Paraguay, a country which is 9 times larger than Austria, but with only 5,7 millions of inhabitants - 453 of them are Austrians. Over a period of 4 years we took 2 or 3 months for traveling around the country, to decide if we really wanted to live here...

With each year that passed, we confirmed our intention, because the personal freedom is here characteristic, without the existence of any chaos, the only rule is the responsibility of each individual.

Finally in 1998, we bought almost 14 hectares of land and we started to live our dreams - a nice little hotel with a Center of Alternative Medicine at the same time, our “Parque de Salud Rubio Ñu”.

Nicoline is licensed in Health Sciences. It was clear for us: We wanted to build a Center of Alternative Medicine, with the possibility to spend health vacations, or simply to relax a few days, taking an alternative treatment, or using the park for a second home, during the cold months of the northern hemisphere (see our houses for rental For many years, I worked in Europe in top-management. I was working in holistic research about the function of the two brain halves. In 1999, when we started to realize our dream, it was the first time in my life that I held a chainsaw in my hands. Today we have much employees, who show us a great affection. We have planted already about 17.000 fast growing trees for wood production and more than 1500 fruit trees.

Our market garden has an extension of 250 m2 and provides us and our hotel with fresh fruits and vegetables - of course totally biological, because in our park there are no chemical products!

For cleaning, dish washing etc. we use only vinegar with water, nothing more! We have dogs, horses and cats - simply a paradise! We also finance the up-bring of children of different families, who do not have money for clothes and school utilities. But, even better yet, let me introduce you to our project...
